Born in the City of Westminster in 1944 of Anglo-Belgian stock, Victor has run a number of businesses in areas as diverse as advertising matches and land retailing. The latter now has a number of subsidiaries.

Married twice with nine children from two broods stemming from the ages of 39 down to 11 years old.
